With Blu-ray, we can see how far off from perfection we were as the visuals are crisper, and the sound feels like you are right in the scene.
This begs the question of what to do with all of your outdated DVD media. For some people, the answer is to repurchase all of their DVDs, but in this fantastic newer format. Where cost effective, this type of person is going to be missing out on all of the benefits that this offers. Perhaps over time this type of person will find themselves picking up all newer movies in this fantastic format, but since it is backwards compatible to DVD, they will still be able to enjoy their older discs.
